  • Current effort: Project management services for a regional company that provides Wi-Fi services to cover large metro areas or facilities.
  • Provided management consulting services to a small information technology services firm to help them evaluate their product and service offerings and to look at new options for their market.


Consulting Services Manager – The Fillmore Group


Managed the relational database consulting practice for an IBM Business Partner. Responsible for recruiting talent, building relationships within IBM, project management and maximizing billable resources.

  • Implemented a new resource recruitment process reducing the process time by 50% resulting in a 25% increase in pursuit of larger, long term clients.


Professional Services Engagement Manager – System Source
2006 – 2011


Responsible for pre-sales, proposal development, project management, technical support and customer relationship management. Projects scopes included email system migrations, network infrastructure upgrades, virtualization efforts and disaster recovery plan development.

  • Responsible for developing the role of a virtual Information Technology Director for our managed services clients.
  • Worked as the virtual Information Technology Director for 4 large and 5 small managed services clients, providing them strategic and tactical direction based on in-depth understanding of their business.
  • Refined proposal development process and implementing checklists resulting in improved response times and reduced errors.
  • Prepared a report on industry trends and benchmarks for a key managed services account considering outsourcing versus insourcing. This resulted not only in retaining the client, but more than $500,000 in annual project revenue


Consultant – Paragon Consulting Services
2005 – 2006


Consultant and Project Manager that specialized in Lotus Notes solutions for clients. Worked closely with clients to refine their business processes and make them more cost effective by automating where possible.

  • Redesigned the Lotus Notes infrastructure for a mid-sized order fulfillment firm. Implemented clustering to ensure 100% uptime through disasters and routine maintenance. Improved replication strategy in order to ensure data was up to date in each location faster.


Team Leader – AMI Solutions
2004 – 2005


Onsite team leader for a Lotus Notes development team supporting Armstrong World Industries. Met with various business units to understand their business needs and translate that into Lotus Notes applications to support their needs. Led team of offsite developers that put the applications together.

  • Developed a new process to estimate projects. This process increased our accuracy and reduced time to present proposals. This allowed us to close more business, increasing our billable time by 40% and reduced our non-billable time by 80%.


Consultant – Ajilon


Conducted a Lotus Notes application review to ensure key critical business applications were meeting business needs for state government agency.

  • Uncovered several flaws in the application design that were resulting in wrong calculations and corrected them. These fixes resulted in an increase of 24% more bad debt being collected.
  • Uncovered performance issues with these applications. Corrections applied resulted in applications that were more stable and more responsive to their debt collectors, thus allowing them to process 10% more calls per shift.

Assigned to Harley-Davidson to review training process on their new assembly line and to prepare improvement recommendations for management and labor review.

Initially led a consulting practice focused on knowledge management solutions. During a reorganization, transitioned into an internal IT role as the Information Technology Manager, managing our security, email, accounting, and CRM solutions. Led an effort to outsource our technology systems to save money and transitioned to back to a practice manager’s position leading a consulting practice focused on messaging solutions.

  • Created a consulting practice based on knowledge management solutions. Trained account management team on how to present this type of service and sales grew to $750,000 in first year. Hired several key resources to perform the work we were winning.
  • Led project team to implement ChangePoint for 80,000 users.
  • Successfully migrated our Lotus Notes email solution to Exchange 2000 and outsourced our MIS staff. Outsourcing resulted in a 40% savings.

Started my own consulting and training business focused on Lotus Notes solutions. Worked with numerous large firms to provide training and Lotus Notes development and administration services.

  • Architected the Lotus Notes infrastructure for General Services Administration. Complex, multi-server environment deployed across the US.
  • Designed a critical travel planning business application for the Executive Office of the President.
  • Created a Lotus Notes application for USF&G Insurance that was instrumental in saving more than $1Billion in fraudulent claims over 5 years.
